HAYDN CELLO CONCERTO IN D

This performance is from November 17, 1985, recorded at Hakone Sengakubara with the Academia Ensemble, conducted by Fumio Asazuma.  They informed me the group was strings only and that the 2 oboe and 2 French horn parts would be covered by members of the ensemble.  I forgot about the concert until I was sent this CD transfer earlier this year.  The performance isn't perfect, but it's nice to know how I sounded way back then!  It was an afternoon concert and we went out for some great food and a view of Mt. Fuji afterwards. . .

BACH CELLO SUITE NO. 3 IN C MAJOR, BWV 1009

And — Earlier on the same concert I played the 3rd Bach Suite.  I’m including it here so those who are interested can see what I mean that I always make changes on how I play this music.  The new recordings are different from what came before and when I play any of them going forward no one should expect those performances will be clones of the CD’s. The horizon is always receding. . .
